Reiki classes introduce the Microcosmic Orbit, a Taoist practice, to increase the flow of healing energy into the client. It involves pulling up on the hui yin, or perineum, which is similar to Kegel exercises.
The teaching of the Microcosmic Orbit is incomplete in some reiki classes.
In the Taoist system, sexual energy is transformed into spiritual energy. When transformed, sexual energy heals the mind and body. This energy, or chi, increases vitality, creativity and overall wellbeing.
The Microcosmic Orbit is a meditation. It can be done alone or with a partner. The intention is to sit in meditation and observe the chi circulating in the body as you pull up on the hui yin. The chi moves in two different directions:
- In front of the body (feminine energy) from the perineum up into the mouth,
- In back of the body (masculine energy) from the perineum up the spine and head then into the mouth.
The chi ‘currents’ become one when the tip of the tongue is pressed into the roof of the mouth. The kundalini in Tantra moves in a similar way. The intention is to become one with the Universe, deepen your sense of self and connection to others.
Reiki energy travels from the Universe into the crown chakra and down into the 3rd eye, throat and heart chakra. The heart chakra includes the arms and palms of the hands. Reiki flows out of the hands and into the body. Reiki can enhance the Microcosmic Orbit meditation by placing the hands in the areas where you feel the chi flowing. (Be careful to not contort yourself.)
Chasing after an orgasm has become a Western notion. It is devoid of spirituality. As we ascend into the 4th and 5th dimensions, sexual alchemy will resurface and become a way to heal ailments.
The Microcosmic Orbit is a complex technique. Choosing it or kundalini exercises is a personal choice. Either way, use sexual alchemy to heal your body and mind. Use reiki to complement the healing.
