What’s In A Name? Who Cares? It’s All Spirit

Psychic. Medium. Psychic Medium. Intuitive Counselor. Professional Intuitive. Angel Therapist. Shaman. They all do the same thing – communicate with the spirit world. The name is chosen to distinguish specialization.

Of course, this naming has become complex. We are all spirits living a human existence. All humans are intuitive. All humans have spirits communicating with them everyday.

Some humans sense spirit naturally. Others intentionally develop their ability or seek training to tune into spirit.

Why the specific naming?

All cultures have been connecting to the spirit world for centuries. It is nothing new. The Spiritualist Movement ‘popularized’ it during the 1800’s. Spiritualists define mediumship as communicating with all spirits – angels, spirit guides, earthbound spirits (ghosts), and souls that transitioned from human from back into the light (Loved Ones). Mediumship is a natural part of life. The soul never dies; it only changes the form in which it appears.

At some point, a human decided to take the path of ill repute. They gave mediumship a bad name and it took on new meaning. No one likes to be associated with drama.

Of course, different schools of thought use different names. Angel Therapists are commonly associated with Doreen Virtue. Spiritualists use medium, spiritualist medium, or psychic medium. People who connect with the spirit world to heal the physical and mental body use shaman. (Angel Therapists and Spiritualist Mediums have the capacity to do the same thing.)

I will admit that I did not want to call myself psychic because I believe all humans are psychic. I am no more special than someone who does not communicate with spirit. I was never comfortable with medium because the name is associated with communicating only with earthbound spirits and Loved Ones.

I communicate with all spirits – angels, ascended masters, spirit guides, earthbound souls, and souls who decided to cross over into the light. I have even connected to some ancient alien-like spirits. My strength is communicating with angels, ascended masters, and spirit guides. I’m developing my skills with earthbound souls and Loved Ones. (Ascended masters are a specific type of guide. More on that in a later post.)

There’s a saying in the professional intuitive world: all mediums are psychic but not all psychics are mediums. This is true. Of course, my overactive brain translated it as all mediums are human but not all humans are mediums.

I use the name Intuitive Counselor because I use my intuition to help people. I communicate with their angels and spirit guides and share messages to help them move forward. I’m like a life coach working with a team of spirits helping me to help others. Some spirits do cheer me on. Seriously!

So, what’s in a name? Choice. Specialization. Whatever the label, we all chose to work with spirit to help others. No complaints with that.

Chakra Healing for the Mind, Body & Soul

Chakras In Body

Chakras In Body

Chakra are energy centers inside and outside the body that spin and vibrate. There are seven major chakras in the body that correspond to a person’s emotional, physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Each chakra has its own color, meaning, frequency, and characteristics when the chakra is balanced or imbalanced.

This is a brief introduction to each of the seven major chakras. You will learn the basic function of each and how to recognize when you are experiencing challenges or not. You can heal your mind, body and soul with the associated chakra healing practices. Food, herbs, bodywork, and sounds are some of the ways to heal.

The earth also has a chakra system. If you find yourself wanting to visit a particular city or live there, it may be your body’s way of informing you of what needs healing. Take a leap of faith and visit those areas. Or, meditate on them.

In short, use this as a guide. Experiment and see what works for you.
