Wiggle My Toes is a children’s song that I wrote two and a half years ago in while living in France. It was inspired by my love of playing in mud when I was a child. It also doubles as a message to connect to the earth.
The first morning of 2020 my soul gave me a stronger push to start composing music. I know I can do it because I often write lyrics with the melody playing in my mind. There is some trepidation because this is a new venture, one I never imagined. But it’s an expansion of writing and expressing myself through music.
I’m acting as my own spiritual life coaching client, setting a goal to have a completed song ready to share by spring. I’ll need to work through my own issues with perfectionism, reach out to a community of songwriters for feedback, and remember to have fun.
The children’s song is only a start. Something bigger looms beneath the horizon. But I do know with 100% positivity that songwriting is a long-term venture. I’m looking forward to whatever the journey brings.

[verse]
When I get out of bed
I put my hands on my head
And wiggle my toes
Wiggle my toes
[chorus]
Nothing’s greater
Than saving shoes for later
So I can wiggle my toes
Wiggle my toes
[verse]
When I walk outside
The sun’s shining bright
Warming my toes
Warming my toes
[verse]
When it rains
Silky mud stains
My pinky toes
My pinky toes
[chorus]
Nothing’s greater
Than saving shoes for later
So I can wiggle my toes

I like it . that haunting refrain” wriggle my toes, wriggle my toes makes me see the world totally in terms of “wriggling toes”

Thank you! I actually wiggle my toes to this day, sadly no mud to make it fun.
