The month of February has a universal vibration of 6, the energy of nurturing and protecting ourselves and those we love. Six is related to Gemini, the masculine side of Mercury, and the Lovers tarot. We are guided to be sociable, flexible, and childlike (not a time to be too serious) in our interactions. We need to communicate what is on our mind and in our heart.
The week of February 2 – 8, 2020 starts off with the waxing moon grounded in sensual sidereal Taurus, moving into playful Gemini before ending in nurturing Cancer. The overall activity will be to connect to people that lift our spirits.
Energy for this week helps us develop what we learned about ourselves during the new moon in sidereal Capricorn. The moon is our mind, mental capacity, focus, and how we feel intuitively, so this is a continuation of how we are guided to cultivate or heal whatever came up.
Sunday, 2 February – Moon in Taurus in Krittika nakshatra; Venus in Pisces
The first quarter moon (50%) may encourage us to enjoy a good meal, carnal pleasures, or other things that make us feel good. Be aware, with Krittika, that we may be guided towards healthier indulgences rather than something frivolous.
Venus transits Pisces, finding strength in the sign, so intimate relationships, health matters, and interests in the arts could be on an upswing. Also be aware of Venus’ aspect in Virgo where it feels challenged. Stick close to healthy boundaries with people and pleasure.
Monday, 3 February – Moon in Taurus in Krittika & Rohini
A continuation of the day before, the moon (68.8%) will continue to guide us to enjoy ourselves. It could be a good time to use the energy to enjoy participating and creating music, literature, and the arts. This is a good time to go to a play or concert with a partner or best friend.
Tuesday, 4 February – Moon in Taurus in Rohini
The moon will be at 77.9%, so there may be stronger to pull to indulge in the arts. Because Taurus is an earth sign, the feminine side of Venus, there may be an inclination to create rather than be an observer. This may come from the good vibrations of the previous day. Go with the flow and channel your inner artist.
Wednesday, 5 February – Moon in Gemini in Mrigashira; Rahu in Ardra
Mental activity will shift with the lunar energy (86.1%) guiding us to socialize, sharing everything on our minds, or just being curious about what our loved ones are doing. Balance this energy with listening to those around you.
Rahu encourages us to enjoy the material world, with its transit in Ardra we may be feeling a combination of creativity and destruction, socializing and isolation. Creatively expressing emotions is a good use of this energy, especially since it aspects houses with Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.
Thursday, 6 February – Moon in Gemini in Ardra
Energy is growing stronger with the moon (92.8%) causing us to feel more conflicting, unless creative self-expression is the tool used to manage what comes up.
Friday, 7 February – Moon in Cancer in Punavarsu & Pushya; Mars in Sagittarius
The moon (97.6%) is in its own sign, intensifying our emotional side as well as our intuition. If we were diligent days before, wisdom would have surfaced during our creative self-expression. This is a time to slow down, reflect, and do spiritual practices like yoga and meditation.
Healthy boundaries, rest, and attending to thoughts and emotions can result in this lunar energy bathing us is higher wisdom about what we needed to start or heal during the new moon.
Mars is the planet of our inner and physical strength. It’s comfortable in Sagittarius, and with it being friends with transiting Jupiter, there may be an inclination to travel, be more athletic, or take up higher learning. The Mars transit also aspects houses with Aquarius, Gemini, and Pisces. Again, the planet is encouraging us to step up and be stronger in these areas of life.
Saturday, 8 February – Moon in Cancer in Ashlesha
The full moon (100%) illuminates healing or fruition of our ideas started since the new moon in sidereal Capricorn. Read full moon forecast.
V. Tradition – Juno
Archangel Gabriel shares that we need to focus on protecting the lives of women and girls this week. Prepare them for an ever changing world so they, too, can be leaders for those who come behind them. We need to understand how things “used to be” and prepare to dismantle the structure in place to allow for more creative endeavors and relationships.
