A new lunar cycle begins on 14 November 2020 in sidereal Libra in Vishaka. For twenty-eight days the overall feeling will be related to activities close to the heart because this is Venus’ masculine side. Issues around balance, progressive ideas, and social justice and fairness will cycle through our minds. Artistic expression will be present as well.
Vishaka presents a fork in the road between two extremes. We may sense the path of doing what is right (however that looks to us) or allowing suffering to persist. This could be choices for ourselves or others. Jupiter-ruled Vishaka will be opening doors to opportunities that expand upon what we already know and do. Because it is related to Libra, it is important to think critically about the choices we make.
This new moon coincides with the Indian celebration of lights. Diwali is about overcoming darkness and ignorance. The light signifies victory. This lunar cycle will illuminate where we have been victorious. As this cycle is also about decisions, we will learn more about the darkness that needs continued healing.
Mars goes direct in Pisces on 13 November, so there may be more energy and determination to seek inner peace, being flexible, helpful, and forward thinking. The sun transits Scorpio on 15 November guiding the collective to find ways to overcome fear and be more vulnerable. Venus will transit Libra on 16 November. Interpersonal relationships may become more important at this time. Venus also encourages expressing spirituality through the arts in a progressive way.
Tensions may rise this time because Ketu is also in Scorpio helping us to let go of the past and old behaviors. Whatever ‘sets us off’ is an indication of what needs to healed. Anger, fear, and insecurity will need to be acknowledged, examined, and expressed in order to move forward. This is not a time to hold on to pain or eat emotions.
The overall understanding is for this lunar cycle is to think about our choices and to take action so we make a difference in our lives and the lives of others.
